Childless men at the time of vasectomy are unlikely to seek fertility restoration
Urology Dec 18, 2019
Bryk DJ, Murthy PB, DeWitt-Foy M, et al. - In this retrospective chart review done on 1,656 men, experts investigated whether men who were childless at the time of vasectomy queried consultation for fertility restoration.
This single-institution study showed that for fertility restoration, no men who were childless at the time of vasectomy solicited consultation. Moreover, men without children at the time of vasectomy should get the same AUA guideline-recommended counseling comparable to what men with children receive, provided that there are no other FDA approved methods for non-barrier sterilization for males.
