Changes in dietary patterns and body composition within 12 months of liver transplantation

McCoy SM, et al. - This observational study scrutinized changes in weight, metabolic function, dietary intake and eating behaviours in the first year following orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). During the early post-transplant period, weight gain was noted, with significant metabolic dysfunction within 6 months but no association of it with significant psychological distress was obvious. Findings recommended early dietary intervention aimed to limit weight gain and target cardiometabolic health.
