Cardiovascular risk and dyslipidemia among persons living with HIV: A review

Maggi P, et al. – Authors here focussed the attention on people living with HIV infection at risk of developing a cardiovascular event. They identified cardiovascular disease and dyslipidemia among people living with HIV (PLWHIV) as challenging issues. Prevention of cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk was observed as the first and essential step of medical intervention on these patients. The lifestyle modification and the education on healthy dietary practices are fundamental tools for reducing CVD risk.
