Cantez S, et al. – This report outlined the relevant clinical and laboratory cardiac findings of patients with juvenile dermatomyositis (JDM). Collected evidence suggested that cardiac abnormalities at JDM disease onset were frequently seen, however, were rarely significant findings due to disease. Therefore, JDM patients should be considered for screening for cardiac disease as late cardiac complications were well recognized.
