Wang AW et al. - The authors aimed to examine whether benefit finding (BF) was correlated with HPA activity, (i.e., diurnal patterns of salivary cortisol). Furthermore, they investigated positive affect (PA) as a potential mediator of BF and cortisol slope. In prostate cancer survivors, the effect of BF on physiological processes emphasized the health relevant value of BF through its ability to enhance PA.
