Behavior of hyperreflective foci in non-infectious uveitic macular edema: A 12-month follow-up prospective study

Berasategui B, et al. - Authors ascertained the presence of hyperreflective foci in patients with non-infectious uveitic macular edema and evaluated their behavior after treatment. In most of the patients with non-infectious uveitic macular edema, experts observed hyperreflective foci. The number of foci diminished during follow-up and after treatment. These foci tended to be located in the inner layers of the retina. Findings suggested a correlation of central macular thickness with number and distribution of hyperreflective foci.
