Axial four-dimensional computed tomographic images to analyze crosswise differences in protrusive condylar movement in patients who underwent mandibulectomy and free flap reconstruction

Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery Sep 07, 2017

Akashi M, et al. – The surgeons attempted this work to determine that axial four–dimensional computed tomography (4DCT) could visualize bilateral protrusive condylar movement directly. They described that axial 4DCT images could visualize a bilateral condylar protrusive path. In addition, they suggested that axial 4DCT image was probably aidful for the evaluation of functional movement of condyles in patients who had undergone mandibulectomy and reconstruction.
