Association of TNFSF4 rs1234315, rs2205960 polymorphisms and systemic lupus erythematosus susceptibility: A meta-analysis

Lupus Jul 18, 2019

Wang JM, et al. - A meta-analysis was conducted on the rs1234315 and rs2205960 polymorphisms and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) by allelic contrast, additive model, recessive model, and dominant model by the experts in order to investigate the correlation between tumor necrosis factor superfamily number 4 (TNFSF4) rs1234315, rs2205960 polymorphisms, and SLE susceptibility. A total of five studies were involved with 6,575 cases and 14,798 controls. Notable relations between the T allele and SLE in overall cases and Asians was found. With regard to the rs2205960 polymorphism, important correlations between the T allele and SLE were obtained in all cases and Europeans. Significant associations amongst the additive model and SLE in all subjects and Asians was also discovered. Moreover, notable relationships between the dominant model and SLE in all subjects and Asians were seen. Important relations were ascertained between the recessive model and SLE in overall subjects and Asians. Hence, TNFSF4 rs1234315 and rs2205960 polymorphisms were concluded as correlated with SLE susceptibility.
