Association of optic disc tilt and torsion with open-angle glaucoma-progression risk: Meta-analysis and meta-regression analysis
American Journal of Ophthalmology Jun 09, 2021
Ha A, Chung W, Shim SR, et al. - In this meta-analysis and meta-regression analysis, researchers intended to determine if there is an association between optic disc deformation and open-angle glaucoma (OAG)-progression risk. Reports on the association of optic disc tilt and/or torsion with OAG progression published to June 2020 have been identified in the PubMed, EMBASE, and Cochrane databases. Eleven longitudinal studies were involved. The sample consisted of 1,100 candidates. There is still no evidence that optic nerve deformation affects glaucoma progression.
