Association of left ventricular systolic dysfunction with mortality in incident peritoneal dialysis patients
Nephrology Jul 02, 2018
Wang Y, et al. - The link between left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and mortality was assessed in incident continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD) patients via analyzing three groups of patients divided according to LVEF levels (> 0.6, 0.5 to 0.6, and < 0.5). As per findings, incident CAPD patients demonstrate a significant association of reduced LVEF with increased all-cause and cardiovascular mortality. Among the three groups, worst overall rates of survival and cardiovascular death-free survival were noted among patients with LVEF < 0.5 had.
