Association of interferon regulatory factor 5 (IRF5) gene polymorphisms with juvenile idiopathic arthritis

Clinical Rheumatology Feb 14, 2018

Reykande SE, et al. - This trial was aimed to evaluate the relationship between IRF5 gene polymorphisms with the susceptibility of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) in Iranian population. No significant difference was noted in the allele and genotype frequencies of the rs10954213 and rs3807306 between JIA and control group. For the development of JIA, IRF5 rs 2004640 T allele could be considered as a risk factor. It was found that the presence of rs 2004640 G could act as a protective factor.
