Association of fentanyl use in rapid sequence intubation with post-intubation hypotension

Takahashi J, et al. - A prospective multicenter study of Emergency Department (ED) airway management was conducted to assess if pre-treatment with fentanyl was associated with a higher risk of post-intubation hypotension in the ED. Higher risks of post-intubation hypotension were demonstrated in association with pre-treatment with fentanyl in rapid sequence intubation.
