Association between tinnitus and temporomandibular disorders: A systematic review and meta-analysis
Annals of Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology Apr 25, 2019
Omidvar S, et al. - Researchers explored the online databases of PubMed, Ovid, ScienceDirect, and Web of Science to assess the possible relationship between tinnitus and temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) by calculating the odds ratios. They estimated the quality of the included papers by the Crowe Critical Appraisal Tool. A significant association between tinnitus and TMDs was reported as they observed odds ratios ranged from 1.78 to 7.79 in the studies associated with tinnitus frequency in TMDs and from 1.80 to 7.79 in the papers correlated to temporomandibular disorder frequency in tinnitus.
