Wachterman M, et al. - The authors aimed at examining one-year mortality after dialysis initiation among older adults and its association with pre-dialysis functional status. In this work, older adults were seemed to have very high mortality risk over the first year after dialysis initiation. They recognized functional impairment as a significant predictor of death.
