International Journal of Eating Disorders Aug 03, 2018
Razaz N, et al. - The association between maternal overweight and obesity in early pregnancy and risk of anorexia nervosa in daughters was investigated via conducting a retrospective cohort study including all live singleton females born in Sweden from 1992 through 2002. Observations suggest a reduction in the rate of anorexia nervosa with maternal overweight and obesity in a dose–response manner. However, the sibling control analysis suggests inconsistency of findings with causals effects of maternal BMI on anorexia nervosa in offspring.
