Ghanem-Zoubi N, et al. - Researchers conducted a population-based, cross-sectional aggregate data study to investigate the association between the incidence of human brucellosis (HB) and adverse pregnancy outcomes (APOs). Epidemiologically, HB incidence has been related to serious pregnancy complications. In endemic settings, they recommend evaluating early detection of infection through active surveillance during pregnancy followed by appropriate treatment as an additional public health strategy.
