Association between M2/ANXA5 haplotype and repeated pregnancy loss: A meta-analysis
Fertility and Sterility Mar 30, 2019
Ang KC, et al. - Researchers performed this meta-analysis of odds ratios determining the magnitude and precision of the association between M2/ANXA5 haplotype and repeated pregnancy loss (RPL). This meta-analysis included 14 individual studies (n = 4,664 subjects). Women with RPL and their partners comprised the subjects. Findings suggest a higher risk of experiencing RPL among women with the M2/ANXA5 haplotype, especially consecutive early idiopathic RPL. This risk, in part, may be attributed to male partners with the M2/ANXA5 haplotype. Therefore, they recommend performing the M2/ANXA5 haplotype screening as a panel of laboratory investigations for RPL.
