Association between HLA-B*1301 and dapsone-induced cutaneous adverse drug reactions: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Tangamornsuksan W, et al. - The relationship between HLA-B*1301 and dapsone-induced cutaneous adverse drug reactions (cADRs) was assessed by the researchers. In dapsone-tolerant and healthy control groups, relationships between HLA-B*1301 and dapsone-induced cADRs were noted. In Asian populations, genetic screening for HLA-B*1301 prior to dapsone therapy was warranted for patient safety.
