Hayashino Y, et al. - In a cohort of Japanese individuals with type 2 diabetes, researchers studied the temporal relationship between Problem Areas in Diabetes (PAID) survey scores and the subsequent risk of all-cause mortality by obtaining longitudinal data from 3,305 people with diabetes from a large Japanese diabetes registry. In men with diabetes, a significant positive correlation was found between high diabetes distress and all-cause mortality. It was noted that this association was not found in women.
