Association between conversion to in-center nocturnal hemodialysis and right ventricular remodeling

Nephrology Dialysis Transplantation Aug 09, 2017

Karur GR, et al. – The study's aspiration was to analyse changes in right ventricular (RV) mass index (MI), end–diastolic volume index (EDVI), end–systolic volume index (ESVI) and ejection fraction (EF) after conversion to in–center nocturnal hemodialysis (INHD) and their relationship with left ventricular (LV) remodeling. An association was revealed between conversion to INHD and a significant reduction of RVESVI. Furthermore, temporal changes in RV mass, volume and function paralleled those of LV.
