Antiaging efficacy of melatonin-based day and night creams: A randomized, split-face, assessor-blinded proof-of-concept trial

Milani M, et al. - This trial was conducted to assess the effectiveness of a melatonin (Mel)-based cream as an anti-aging treatment. The researchers found that in women with skin aging, the skin tonicity and skin hydration was improved significantly by the Mel-based creams. Additionally, a significant reduction in the skin roughness was noted. It was deduced that when applied topically, this Mel-based cream had an antiaging effect.
