Anhedonia is associated with suicidal ideation independently of depression: A meta-analysis
Depression and Anxiety Dec 19, 2017
Ducasse D, et al. - The authors performed this meta-analysis to quantify the relationship between anhedonia and current suicidal ideation according to the absence/presence of between-group differences for depressive scores and psychiatric disorders. They found a robust association between anhedonia and current suicidal ideation, independently of depression. For the clinicians’ daily practice, this was highly relevant and could help in improving suicidal risk detection and the development of new therapeutic strategies for suicide prevention.
