Androgen deprivation therapy during and after post-prostatectomy radiotherapy in patients with prostate cancer: A case control study

Kim M, et al. - Biochemical recurrence (BCR) and radiographic progression were assessed in patients with prostate cancer who received androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) during and/or after post-prostatectomy radiotherapy (RT). BCR-free survival was shown to be improved with concurrent ADT. Salvage ADT after post-RT BCR improved radiographic progression-free survival. Implementing ADT of sufficient duration was recommended in order to maximize the oncological benefit.
