An independent indicator of erectile dysfunction is C‐reactive protein/albumin ratio

Andrologia May 14, 2021

Demir S, et al. - The present study was performed to evaluate whether an independent indicator of erectile dysfunction is C‐reactive protein (CRP)/albumin ratio (CAR). Between March 2019 and April 2020, researchers prospectively assessed CAR, demographic features, and other criteria of 198 patients with erectile dysfunction (ED) who visited our outpatient clinic. The study also enrolled healthy control individuals without systemic or infectious diseases. Elevated CAR is correlated with ED severity and elevated ED risk. A considerable cut‐off point was distinguished for CAR predicting ED and ED severity.
