An analysis of safety and adverse events following cochlear implantation in children under 12 months of age

Kim Y, et al. - This study was designed in order to analyze the perioperative morbidity of children ≤12 months, undergoing cochlear implantation (CI). In the immediate postoperative period, infants did not display any more general surgical complications compared with older children. Nonetheless, the total operative time, length of stay, and readmissions were substantially greater in the frequency.
