Ambulatory hemodynamic monitoring strategy for heart failure management reduces utilization of emergency room services

Sauld CR, et al. – This study assessed the potential efficacy of a management strategy for heart failure (HF), using ambulatory hemodynamic monitoring through the CardioMEMS HF system, in attenuating Emergency Department (ED) visits. Findings demonstrated that utilization of remote hemodynamic monitoring via the CardioMEMS HF system in monitoring pulmonary artery (PA) pressures was statistically significant in reducing ED visits.
