Altered natural killer cell cytokine profile in type 2 autoimmune hepatitis

Mele D, et al. - This extended immunophenotypic and functional analysis of natural killer (NK) cells in children with type 2 autoimmune hepatitis (AIH-2) lends support to low-dose IL2 (interleukin 2) as a treatment option for this patient population. Such a treatment would result in normalization of NK cell function and expansion of the regulatory T cells subset in these subjects.
