Air-insufflated high-definition dacryoendoscopy yields significantly better image quality than conventional dacryoendoscopy

Sasaki T, et al. – This study is performed to facilitate the examination of lacrimal conditions, they used high–definition dacryoendoscopy (HDD) and undertook observations with a pressure–controlled air–insufflation system. They report the safety and performance of HDD. Pressure–controlled (5–15 kPa) air–insufflated HDD is safe, and yields significantly better image quality than conventional dacryoendoscopy (CD) and saline–irrigated HDD.
