Advanced trophectoderm quality increases the risk of a large for gestational age baby in single frozen-thawed blastocyst transfer cycles

Human Reproduction May 19, 2021

Xie Q, Du T, Zhao M, et al. - Researchers undertook this retrospective cohort study to determine whether trophectoderm (TE) quality influences birthweight following single frozen-thawed blastocyst transfer. A total of 1,548 singleton babies born from single frozen-thawed blastocyst transfer from January 2011 to June 2019, were included. Findings revealed higher birthweight as well as elevated risk of a large for gestational age baby, both in relation to transfer of single blastocyst with advanced TE quality.
