Adenomatoid tumour of the uterus is frequently associated with iatrogenic immunosuppression

Tamura D, et al. - By cohort analysis, researchers explored the general relationship between the incidence of the uterine adenomatoid tumor (AT) and iatrogenic immunosuppression. For this investigation, 611 consecutive hysterectomy specimens were examined to identify the incidence of AT and its relationship with the immunosuppressive status. The findings from the present study suggested that uterine AT is an immunosuppression-associated mesothelial lesion characterized by p16 overexpression.
