A retrospective case series evaluating the outcome of implants with low primary stability
Clinical Oral Implants Research Jun 13, 2019
Lee KJ, et al. - In this retrospective study involving 156 patients, researchers examined outcomes of implants placed with low primary stability and factors that may be related to implant failures. Seven implants failed in 7 patients, resulting in the implant- and patient-level cumulative survival rates of 94.74% and 94.33% respectively. Within the limitations of this retrospective study, low primary stability implant placement may not adversely affect either survival rates or marginal implant changes in bone level, provided a protected and unloaded healing is ensured.
