A prospective study of topical carteolol therapy in Chinese infants with superficial infantile hemangioma

Gan LQ, et al. - The short-term effectiveness and safety of topical carteolol hydrochloride drops were comprehensively analyzed in this trial, for the treatment of infantile hemangiomas (IHs). Based on the results, it was deduced that carteolol was an effective, safe topical treatment for superficial IHs. It was also noted that carteolol could be used to treat proliferative superficial IHs, especially in infants younger than 6 months.
