Yu YR, et al. - A prospective cohort study is designed to assess a same day discharge (SDD) protocol for children with simple appendicitis. With appropriate patient selection, safe and satisfactory outpatient management of pediatric simple appendicitis is achievable. As per observations, an SDD protocol can result in significant generation of value to the healthcare system.
