A phase 3 trial of mometasone furoate sinus implants for chronic sinusitis with recurrent nasal polyps

Kern RC, et al. - During this study, experts analyzed the effectiveness of mometasone furoate (MF) sinus implants for chronic sinusitis in patients with recurrent polyposis. Data exhibited marked improvements over a range of subjective and objective endpoints, with the inclusion of a reduction in the requirement of sinus surgery by 61%. This finding illustrated that MF sinus implants could play a vital role in the management of recurrent nasal polyps.
