A novel method for assessing proximal tibiofibular joint on MR images in patients with knee osteoarthritis

Chang J, et al. - In patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA), researchers sought to validate a method to measure the morphological parameters of the proximal tibiofibular joint (PTFJ). Findings suggested the reproducibility of this novel method to assess the morphological parameters of PTFJ in MRI. They noted an association of these parameters with knee radiographic and MRI-based OA-related structural abnormalities, thereby suggesting clinical construct validity.
