A distinctive subgroup of oral EBV+ B-cell neoplasm with polymorphous features is potentially identical to EBV+ mucocutaneous ulcer

Ohata Y, et al. - This trial was designed with the aim of better characterizing and grasping the pathophysiology of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and EBV-positive mucocutaneous ulcer (EBVMCU) in the oral cavity. Based on the results it was determined that oral EBV-positive B-cell lymphoid proliferation with polymorphous characteristics frequently fulfilled the criteria for EBVMCU. They displayed clinicopathologically and genetically distinctive properties.
