A comparison of evidence-based medicine practices between primary care physicians in rural and urban primary care settings in Malaysia: A qualitative study
BMJ Open Jul 18, 2018
Hisham R, et al. - The evidence-based practices of primary care physicians between those working in rural and in urban primary care settings were compared in this analysis. Major differences were found in the practice of evidence-based medicine (EBM) between rural and urban primary care settings and these findings could be used by policy-makers, administrators and the physicians themselves to identify strategies to improve EBM practices that were targeted according to workplace settings. Results revealed that workplace factors, healthcare organisation, availability of resources and patient populations were observed to vary significantly.
