Association between statin use and herpes zoster: Systematic review and meta-analysis

Fan L, et al. - Researchers conducted a meta-analysis on the relationship between statin use and the risk of herpes zoster infection. Via searching PubMed, Embase, Web of Science and Cochrane database, six studies with a total of more than two million participants were found and analyzed. The results of this systematic review and meta-analysis indicate that the use of statins might increase the risk of herpes zoster infection.
