Lee SY, et al. - Data from the 2007–2013 Korea Youth Risk Behavior Web-based Survey was analyzed to examine if age of first sexual intercourse had any relation to exposure to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) among adolescents. They recorded approximately 7.4% of boys and 7.5% of girls with STI. They noted an inverse relationship between experiencing STIs and age at first sexual intercourse. They also noticed an association between the absolute age gap and STI experience.
