BiodentineTM vs formocresol pulpotomy technique in primary molars: A 12–month randomized controlled clinical trial

El Sadek El Meligy OA, et al. - Researchers analyzed kids of age 4– to 8–year–old to examine the clinical and radiographic success rates of BiodentineTM pulpotomies vs formocresol pulpotomies in children vital primary molars. They observed 100% of clinical success rates in both the groups.
They calculated 100% and 98.1% of radiographic success rates for BiodentineTM and formocresol groups, respectively at 12 months. They radiographically observed pulp canal obliteration in 17.9% and 12.5% of cases in both the groups, respectively. Overall, they suggested both the techniques convenient with respect to clinical and radiographic consequences over a period of 12-months without any meaningful difference.
