Akram Z, et al. - In the treatment of chronic periodontitis, authors assessed the effectiveness of metformin as an adjunct to scaling and root planing (SRP). Findings suggested efficacy of the adjunctive use of metformin delivery in periodontal treatment in bone defect (BD) fill, thereby, reducing probing depth and gain in clinical attachment level.
