Association between six-minute walk test parameters and the health-related quality of life in patients with pulmonary Mycobacterium avium complex disease
BMC Pulmonary Medicine Jul 21, 2018
Yagi K, et al. - Whether six-minute walk test (6MWT) parameters are associated with pulmonary function and health-related quality of life (HRQL) in patients with pulmonary Mycobacterium aviumcomplex (pMAC) disease was investigated in this cross-sectional study performed at Keio University Hospital. Using the 36-Item Short Form Health Survey and St. George’s Respiratory Questionnaire, they determined the association of 6MWT parameters with clinical parameters, including pulmonary function and HRQL. They observed that 6MWD and the final Borg scale score showed utility as parameters for assessing HRQL in patients with pMAC.
