Azgomi RND, et al. - Authors, in this triple-blind randomised clinical trial compared the impacts of Withania somnifera and pentoxifylline on the sperm parameters in idiopathic male infertility. They randomly allocated male patients into either W. somnifera or pentoxifylline groups. In either of the two groups, no major complication was reported. Sperms parameters in idiopathic male infertility were improved with W. somnifera, a traditional medicine remedy without causing adverse effects. Hence, in this regard, this medication could be considered to be an alternative to pentoxifylline.
