Huang YP, et al. - Experts assessed the predictive value of left testicular volume (LTV) and right testicular volume (RTV) for testicular function respectively. They performed sex hormone and semen analysis including sperm concentration (SC) and sperm motility rate (SMR). Findings suggested a positive correlation of both LTV and RTV with testicular function, and no differences between bilateral testicular volume (TV) were found. For overall testicular function, RTV rather than LTV was noted to be the independent factor of overall testicular function as seen by semen quality and total testosterone (TT) levels.
