A 2-year prospective study of single-implant mandibular overdentures: Patient-reported outcomes and prosthodontic events
Clinical Oral Implants Research Apr 21, 2018
Nogueira TE, et al. - Researchers evaluated the clinical and patient-reported outcomes of the single-implant mandibular overdenture treatment (SIMO) after a 2-year follow-up period. As per data, for subjects poorly adapted to the mandibular denture, single-implant mandibular overdenture was a feasible alternative. And in patient satisfaction and quality of life measures, it resulted in significant improvement. To indicate this alternative, a careful selection of patients based on their demanding needs and expectations was essential. The need for periodical clinical monitoring was reinforced by the incidence of maintenance events in the long term.
