Prospective multicenter study on robot-assisted laparoscopic extravesical ureteral reimplantation (RALUR-EV): Outcomes and complications

Boysen WR, et al. - Among experienced surgeons, the safety and effectiveness of Robot-assisted laparoscopic extravesical ureteral reimplantation (RALUR-EV) in children was assessed by the researchers. Findings suggested the radiographic resolution of vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) after RALUR was as good as contemporary open series, and the incidence of ureteral complications was noted to be low. For management of VUR in children, RALUR should be considered as one of several viable options.
