A randomized, prospective study of laparoendoscopic single-site plus one-port vs mini-laparoscopic technique for live donor nephrectomy

Lee KW, et al. - The clinical outcomes of laparoendoscopic single-site plus one-port donor nephrectomy (LESSOP-DN) and mini laparoscopic donor nephrectomy (MLDN) were studied in this randomized, prospective study in donors scheduled for left donor nephrectomy. Despite the smaller incision size of LESSOP-DN, there were no differences in cosmetic satisfaction between groups. Similar safety parameters and subjective measures of postoperative morbidity were revealed in both the groups.
