Erectile dysfunction in cirrhosis is impacted by liver dysfunction, portal hypertension, diabetes and arterial hypertension

Paternostro R, et al. - The authors conducted this study to evaluate the prevalence and severity of erectile dysfunction (ED) in patients with cirrhosis. They also assessed the risk factors for ED among these patients. ED was noted in nearly two-thirds of male patients with cirrhosis. They identified the severity of liver dysfunction, portal hypertension, arterial hypertension and diabetes as risk factors for ED.
