Zou Z, et al. - Cardiac surgery patients were assessed to determine the link between body mass index (BMI) and risk of acute kidney injury development post- cardiac surgery (CS-AKI) and post-operation AKI requiring renal replacement therapy (AKI-RRT). A BMI ranging from 24-28 afforded best hospital prognosis of AKI and AKI-RRT patients after cardiac surgery.
