Efficacy of phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (PDE5Is) and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) in men with premature ejaculation: A new systematic review and five meta-analyses

Sun Y, et al. - The aim of this work was to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to clariy the adequacy of phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors (PDE5Is) and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) in men with premature ejaculation (PE). The evidence showed that phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitors were significantly more effective than placebo or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors for treating PE, while SSRIs were better than placebo. In addition, the combined treatment had better efficacy than PDE5Is or SSRIs alone.
